This video demonstrates the basic Lumbar side lying manipulation technique and how it is modified to focus to the L5/S1 segment at the very bottom of the Lumbar region. The explanation clearly identifies how to focus to the L5/S1 and how to maintain this focusing and the the components of the technique are introduced in order to build the barrier. Finally the impulse is identified and applied. The first part of the video introduces the technique with a rotation primary lever and the second part with a side bending primary lever. Pay attention to the therapists hand contact point changes and the direction changes of some of the movements and in particular the impulse direction with side bending.
